Balloons, cupcakes and a Two year old going on 20

Hey you.

This week had everything. Early alarms and late nights. A birthday party that genuinely was a one of a kind. A fitness week I'm actually proud of. And a moment where I finally stopped stalling and just opened the laptop. Let's get into it.

One Thing to Think About This Week

I built a one year visualization this week and it kind of wrecked me in the best way.

Not a vision board. Not a goals list. An actual written out picture of what my life looks and feels like one year from now if I show up every single day. Specific. Personal. Mine.

Y’all, vague goals create vague effort. The second I could actually see the version of me I'm working toward... something clicked. The alarm went off and I had a reason that wasn't just willpower. It was identity.

Try this prompt with AI: "Help me write a one year visualization based on these goals and values. Write it in first person, present tense, as if it's already happened." Then read it every morning and let it do its job. It sounds soft. It is not soft.

Celebrate Your Wins

  • Four workouts this week.
  • Every step goal hit.
  • Food tracked consistently.
  • And I am thisclose to unassisted pull ups and feeling stronger every week.

Productivity Hack of the Week

Stop waiting to feel ready. That's it. That's the hack.

I had a video edit on my to do list all week and I kept saying I'd get to it when I was in the right headspace. Monday I just opened the file. No plan. No hype. And within five minutes I was fully in it.

The hardest part of any creative project is the distance between "I should start" and "I have started." That gap is a lie you're telling yourself.

Open the tab. Pull up the file. Get yourself in the room first. The rest follows.

What I'm Into This Week

  • App: Limber. A mobility app that actually meets you where you are. You take a mobility assessment, it identifies your gaps, builds you a custom routine, and then you just pick how much time you have and follow along. I added it to my mornings and my body is genuinely thanking me. Go download it.
  • Podcast: The Mindset Mentor just dropped an episode on how to be motivated every day and it is so good. Like pull over and take notes good.
  • Mini Notebooks: Having a mini notebook you can doodle and takes notes in is fun and task oriented.

Life Snapshot

Personal Wins:

Family Moments: Ledger turned TWO. Madison had balloons in his room and shimmer in his doorway when he woke up… fully her idea, fully on brand for her. The party was at the house, mostly his classmates, and she turned our backyard into what I can only describe as a mini Thinkery. The kids were in the zone having so much fun. He smiled, blew out his candle (with Madison's help), and had six mini cupcakes. Six. No meltdowns or tantrums, just a bunch of kids, parents and family having the best time ever. The weather was top tier as well.

Real-Life Relatability: I had a full cheat day on Saturday. Wings, cupcakes, alcohol, zero tracking. And then Sunday I just got back to it... Kinda. No guilt though, plus there’s still cupcakes in this house because today is his actual birthday. That's honestly the whole goal.

One Last Thing

"You don't have to be extreme. You just have to be consistent."

Build the visualization. Download Limber. Start the thing you've been putting off. Get back on track after the birthday party. None of it has to be perfect. It just has to keep going. So do you.

Fun P.S.

I con’d Madison’s grandma into pranking Madison. I asked her to take an ice bucket with a mixer in it and hand it to Mads. Both confused, Madison was unsure of why Pappy is handing her this ice bucket. Inside was a Smirnoff Ice. She had officially been iced. She had to get on one knee and chug the bottle in front of everyone. Amazing. I was peer pressured into helping so there I was, on one knee. Chugging away.

What I'm Building

Week 2 of the 90 day challenge is officially in the books and here's the honest recap.

Food tracked all week. Step goal hit every single day. Four workouts done. Lifting heavier than I was two weeks ago. Almost back to unassisted pull ups. And yes, Saturday was a full cheat day for Ledger's birthday… wings, cupcakes, alcohol, not a single regret about any of it.

This is what the middle of a challenge actually looks like. Not dramatic. Not perfect. Just stacking weeks and trusting the process.

Thanks for being here every week. Seriously. Now go enjoy your Sunday and I’ll meet you right back here next week.

See you next Sunday.

Hey you… It’s Sunday. And before you map out the week ahead, I just want you to sit in this one for a second. Because this was a good week. Like… a really good week. Even when it didn’t feel like it. Let’s get into it. One Thing to Think About This Week Jim Rohn asked a question this week. What has you turned on right now? What has you turned off? He said without a strong enough why, your how just gets bigger. Heavier. More complicated. You think you want the million dollar home… but do you?...

Hey you, For two weeks I did everything right. Hit the gym six days. Protein every meal. Water like it was my job. And the scale gave me a grand total of… 1.3 pounds. If I’d only had the scale, I would’ve quietly assumed nothing was happening. Maybe even quit being so strict about it. Then I got the data. And the data told a completely different story. Let’s get into it. One Thing to Think About This Week The thing that’s been rattling around my brain: the proof is almost never where you’re...

Hey you, Okay, I don’t even know where to start this week. It was one of those weeks that looked normal on the outside… gym, work, kid bedtimes, all the things but on the inside, something shifted. I went to an event I almost talked myself out of going to and I came home with pages of notes and a few thoughts I haven’t been able to shake. Let’s get into it. One Thing to Think About This Week “Time is flying. You have to pay attention or you’ll miss it.” I keep saying it out loud hoping it’ll...
