Hey you, Okay, I don’t even know where to start this week. It was one of those weeks that looked normal on the outside… gym, work, kid bedtimes, all the things but on the inside, something shifted. I went to an event I almost talked myself out of going to and I came home with pages of notes and a few thoughts I haven’t been able to shake. Let’s get into it. One Thing to Think About This Week“Time is flying. You have to pay attention or you’ll miss it.” I keep saying it out loud hoping it’ll slow things down. It won’t. But what it does do is remind me to actually be present for the moments that matter… tuck Ledger in, set the dinner table. The week will happen with or without your attention. Might as well be in it. I saw a video that talked about how one day your kids will tell someone about their childhood. What will Ledger tell people? “Set the dinner table” was a reference to the video… but it’s about making sure he wasn’t eating alone, he felt loved, he felt presence, he had fun… all the things we try and show him daily. Celebrate Your Wins
Productivity Hack of the WeekHave 2–3 meal options ready. Always. One thing I locked in this week… the less kitchen decision-making we have to do mid-week, the more consistent everything else gets. Meal prep isn’t just about eating well, it’s about removing one more thing your brain has to figure out when it’s tired and everyone is already hungry, with no options. The system is the shortcut. What I’m Into This WeekZozofit - a 3D body scan app that is completely free and worth trying if you want to track your body stats from home. No gym required. Just you, your phone, and a little patience while it maps you out. I did my second scan this week and am down 3% body fat from 4 weeks ago (supposedly). Superpower - I’ve been diving into my full body bloodwork and honestly it’s been a game changer. Tracking everything down led me to something I wasn’t expecting… symptoms I’ve had for a long time all seem to point back to my birth control, which I take for migraines and fibroid cramping. I reached out to my OBGYN to explore some new options. Quote - "The key to everything is within.” I’ve heard versions of this a hundred times. But something about hearing it in a room full of people chasing big things made it land differently this week. How often do you truly, and I mean truly, just sit with yourself and think about your now and your future? Life SnapshotPersonal Wins: Started the BFT challenge strong. Stayed consistent even on the work happy hour night. Walked away from the Aspire event with clarity I didn’t expect. Family Moments: We hit up Bouldin Acres south with a couple besties and it was just so great to chat about babies, Madison’s birth story, content ideas and just hang out with friends that heal the soul. Real-Life Relatability: The AI team meeting this week was a lot. So much to learn, so little time… and I sat there just trying to absorb it all without spiraling. It’s sooooo exciting, scary, motivating, derailing and all the things all mixed together. What’s happening? Does anyone know? idk but i’m moving forward anyway. One Last ThingMonday is Memorial Day. For our family, it’s the day we lost Papa John. It’s a day I hold close every year… a reminder that the people we love don’t disappear, they just change form. Hug your people this weekend. Every day you live, you live exactly once. Then it’s gone forever. And one day the days will run out. That’s not meant to scare you. It’s meant to wake you up. What would you do differently today if you actually believed that? “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13 Fun P.S.Madison took advantage of her Mothers Day gift Saturday morning, so Ledger and I had a fun home takeover. We had a mixture of eating, cleaning and playing with all the things. Did we find filled Easter Eggs somewhere? yes. Did we pull them out and play with them? Also yes. There was even a moment we (and by we, I mean he) decided to see how well we could jump from the couch to the ottoman. :) …. idk. I just live here. Time alone with Ledger are so fun because I already act like a child and having a toddler to do it with, brings me so much joy. The dogs seem to get a kick out of it usually as well (or else they leave the room and nap somewhere solo). If something from this week resonated with you… the meal prep hack, the reminder to slow down, the blood work awareness, or whatevs, reply and tell me. I read every one. And if someone you know needs a Sunday reset of their own, send them this. That’s how this little community grows. Working parent. Marathon finisher. Systems builder.I document what it actually looks like to close the gap between the life you keep picturing and the one you're living.
Hey you… It’s Sunday. And before you map out the week ahead, I just want you to sit in this one for a second. Because this was a good week. Like… a really good week. Even when it didn’t feel like it. Let’s get into it. One Thing to Think About This Week Jim Rohn asked a question this week. What has you turned on right now? What has you turned off? He said without a strong enough why, your how just gets bigger. Heavier. More complicated. You think you want the million dollar home… but do you?...
Hey you, For two weeks I did everything right. Hit the gym six days. Protein every meal. Water like it was my job. And the scale gave me a grand total of… 1.3 pounds. If I’d only had the scale, I would’ve quietly assumed nothing was happening. Maybe even quit being so strict about it. Then I got the data. And the data told a completely different story. Let’s get into it. One Thing to Think About This Week The thing that’s been rattling around my brain: the proof is almost never where you’re...
Hey you, For months, I kept seeing fun things online, like events, classes, experiences and my first instinct was always to find someone to go with. And every single time, it was either too far or the schedules just wouldn’t line up. So I wouldn’t go. And I kept not going. Over and over. Meanwhile, my job mentioned a gym nearby. Nine minutes from me. Classes every day, 14 class formats so you never know what you’re walking into, but multiple class times each day with availability that...
